This history is even easier than I expected; in recitation today, we were discussing how Catholicism related to monarchs who claimed divine right, and I was apparently the only who thought of how Anglicanism might change that. And I didn't just pull that out of nowhere, we were required to read an essay by James I about divine right, which included a note in bold about how he alienated English Protestants. The fact that nobody else mentioned non-Catholic kingdoms makes me seriously wonder how hard they're trying.

i can see how Catholicism holds any correlation between monarchs, but for them to claim divinee right, idk. if you know about this, but the Chinese had something called the "mandate of heaven" and that is like how emperors said they had some divine right to rule. i dont think this applies here, as this isnt a religious kingdom lol. i think in your case, you are talking about the "holy rights of kings" or "divine rights of kings"or some shit. look it up.
dont stop your effort, if you are doing this kind of participation, teachers (or professors) do look into you.

I guess the main difference as far as I can tell is that the Divine Right view is more direct about religion, often relying on the backing of the clergy and stipulating that bad kings would be punished in hell even if they weren't overthrown. The Chinese might as well have said, "history is written by the winner."
As for effort, I wouldn't really to try to outdo the others even if I was majoring in history; they're all what I'd call NBC enthusiasts. When asked how modern politics are different from the medieval system, they all talked about separation of church and state. Nobody mentioned separation of powers, lower taxes, natural rights (even after the professor said peasants couldn't carry swords or insult nobles), or government by consent. Hell, they didn't even mention how much worse it was for women to be treated as property and routinely have 5+ kids.
The Chinese want to be perpetual on their complexity in language, so for them to write those 6 words is like an insult to them lol.
For no one to be able to mention that we have abetter reception towards the human (possibly) innate rights towards life is really funny, and how no one talks about the huge improvement in the women's rights is absurd. The seperation was a transition from medival politics to modern politics, that is it. It would be nice to show off once in a while if someone seems to match your level, ya know?
